Moore City Council Meeting March 4, 2024
My biological dad had helped out in the recovery of this city. He came along with an LGBTQ+ group that were there to help, I'm sure he would never forget it, and he never did. My step dad, who was a paramedic at the time, he was there to bring unconcious, or injured people to a hospital , he also went to the Warren Theater to bring people to the same place. “And the guilt of knowing we didn’t do our best would kill us more than trying ever could.” -TJ (a.k.a. my dad)
What’s really FUNNY these morons will rebuild right back in the same place. 😂😂 Some da’s just never learn.
You are not special if you were in a tornado. Grow up.
they were in 2 in less than 15 years
Every neighborhood needs underground tunnels for shelter
MAY 3RD 1999: BRIDGE CREEK/MOORE OKLAHOMA F-5 TORNADO 🌪🌪🌪🌪🌪 Here’s the wording from World Famous Meteorologist Gary England concerning the infamous May 3rd 1999 F-5 Tornado 🌪 to hit Bridge Creek and the city of Moore Oklahoma: Folks you will not survive above ground! You must be in your tornado shelter or get out of the way!!! Again! You will not survive above ground! You must be in your tornado shelter or get out of the way. This is a TORNADO 🌪 EMERGENCY 🆘 🚨 FOR THE CITY OF MOORE!! 14 years later it still applies!
It is funny that ever since 1 person came up with (whatever) "strong" then every town that has a tragedy (or any other hardship) has the need to follow suit. No imagination.....

Your intro is way too long.
If it were possible, I’d pay more in taxes if it meant people in Tornado Alley had more basements and tornado shelters.
Ohmygosh, this started with the worst music I've ever heard in my entire life. I'm sorry, I had to leave before my ears started bleeding 😔
My heart omg I can’t even fathom this, these babies and the animals 😭 God Bless these people.
It still blows my mind that just 1 city in this huge sprawl of land called the USA has been the site of so much devastation from tornados in such a short duration of time.
That whole thing was so mind boggling and it was a miracle that these amazing volunteers came to help Moore. That's a gift in the middle of the tragedy. I went through Xenia after that tornado and it was like a bomb went off. I was driver's Ed going through thru Xenia
Tragedy brings out the best in many people.
I know this pain I live in north Alabama. We lived through the April 27,2011 tornadoes. We have had several EF5 in our home town.
7:35 Is it me or when they say "Everything is gone." "Everything but us is gone." Aren't they exaggerating out of trauma? I mean yes, everything was destroyed, not EVERYTHING was "Gone." I just don't understand why they say things are "gone" when parts of the structures are still standing. Again, DESTROYED but standing. I've seen what an F5 did to a neighborhood that was GONE. Literally GONE: houses, roads (asphalt), cars, people, appliances, plumbing, street signs, trees, carpet, floor tiles, grass, etc. Nothing but slabs and mud. To me, thats GONE.
🙄
Every house should come with a storm shelter.
God was with the survivors and with those who died!
As of 2023, this was the last EF-5 to cause devastation in the USA.
Mayville KY
My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone that has been affected by tornadoes.
The last EF5
Mayville KY
Hope and pray this never happens again. God bless Moore.
What possesses goobers to fly the American flag over their rubble piles???
Being an ef5 survivor I pray for all of you. It's so scary.
How terrible
How terrible
How terrible
This says it's part one did they do a part 2 ? If so I can't find it
No looting was happening in Oklahoma But of course the people of Oklahoma are not animals
There were 17 looters arrested in Moore in the immediate aftermath of the tornado. I guess there ARE "animals" in Oklahoma, after all. 😂🤣
@@gjk540 they were picking up scrap metal and only one of them was actually from Oklahoma the rest of them was Texas I didn't know that until I read your comment then I had to Google it to find out and that's what I came up with but I found seven not 17
No, the people of Oklahoma are just dumb plodders. This is an insult to “animals”, who are generally better at finding/building a place underground to live where shelter from weather is easier/possible or moving elsewhere…Oklahomans just pray to “God” & build another cheap McMansion with no REAL safety or shelter, pay tons of homeowner’s insurance or have trouble getting insurance on their crappy future tornado fodder/death trap & wait/wonder till it happens again…🙄…thoughts n prayers y’all & good friggin LUCK…& by all means, continue to deny climate change…it’s been working SO well for y’all so far…😅 Love from not “tornado alley”…
One thing about the people of the Oklahoma City metro area is they always bounce back it's a very very strong community
I still remember watching the news and the weather guy saying, "If you are above ground you are going to die" This was the storm that landed us on the cover of TIME magazine! I NEVER thought I'd endure another storm as bad or even worse than may 1999.... EVER! HOWEVER, I Love being an Oklahoman! How we ALWAYS pull together. It genuinely restores faith in humanity! We have beautiful humans here ❤️
God bless y’all. Greetings from Pennsylvania. ❤️❤️
There’s an amazing beauty in such tragedy. Hearing the story about the little girls locking arms and singing is moving. The worst events bring out the best in humanity. Thank God only 24 people died, it easily could have been 10 times worse.
You know who won't be spending time with family this holiday season? Luis Rodriguez and it's all thanks to your thugs
Got rid of plastics 3-7, no glass or styrofoam either, pfft. So dumb. Plus, the stupid residents of Moore voted NO to recycle bins at the houses. But they will vote for a multi million dollar bridge lol. OK is just sad.
I'm so proud to be an American after seeing the character of the people of Joplin and Oklahoma.
First off I want to ask our heavenly father to bless each and everyone of the families, friends, loved ones and especially the victims of 5/20/2013. May his love and guidance direct you're hearts and soothe the pain brought by this tragedy as well as the many others. For those who were called home that day I pray you found the way free of all earthly pain and fear and into the arms of his loving embrace. Amen. I cannot use words to convey my condolences for y'all and to expess the way my heart aches for each and everyone of you. I must confess some of that pain comes from the fact that you're beautiful city is literally located in an area that has the perfect conditions, environment and the reputation for spawning tornadoes that dont just get big, they get unbelievably massive. From a funnel to a barrel then to a wedge surrounded by debris that creates a picture human brains cannot begin to rationalize as they immense size and deafening sound can only be compared to a New York skyscraper on wheels spinning like a top and eating up all things in its path. People often get mesmerized at the sight and just stare into it as its bearing down upon them. People who haven't witnessed this horrific event ask "why don't you run! Dont just stand there!" Well, our brains have a way of making sense of things. When there are events that happen of the caliber of an EF-5 twister that has become a wedge and you look out you're back door to be met with a sight of a tornado from one eyes peripheral sight to the others and literally all you see is debris, it just doesn't register as real and this is actually happening. Our bodies do this as a tool to protect our psyche from trauma. It tries to make surreal what is real as a way to protect itself. In this moment we are often caught like a deer in the headlights unbeknownst to us. Often times we need to be snapped out of this moment. The rotation has a hypnotizing effect, especially ones of such gargantuan size as thos. The fact that my fellow human beings are living in an area that creates these beasts is frustrating, if that makes sense and with all due respect.... Home is where the heart is and there are precautions that can be taken to ensure ones safety but even when all the "T's" are crossed and all the the "I's" have been dotted, things happen. I have family whom reside in Nichols Hills and being familiar with folks from Oaklahma, i know they have faith in the lord and they are people who will actually stop and offer help if you happen to have a flat tire or ran out of gas on the roadside. They are friendly and neighborly. Trustworthy people who are very different from those where I live in California. Wholesome is a good word to describe the folks in Oaklahma. It warms my heart to see just how quickly they will be of service to thy neighbor. Literally 5 minutes after the twister went past they were out there with their chainsaws buzzing clearing the blocked roads of trees and trucks pulling out stuck vehicles and large debris to aid in finding victims. The meaning of community still exists out there. I'm sad to say it doesn't here where I'm at. I guess my heart aches because such kind folks experience such horrible tragedy. Such horror. Nightmarish events like this happen to such great god gearing people and it hurts me to know that unfortunately it will happen again. I ask our lord to hold you firmly in his hands if this is to be and I pray for all of you're safety nightly. You're resilience and ability to bounce back in a matter of years from complete destruction to hardly able to tell such destruction occurred is mind boggling. That is what I consider Moore strong. If every city could follow you're lead, we would have true brotherhood and be a teal united set of states indeed. I'm humbled by you're example. May god bless each and everyone of you're hearts. With humbling respect I pray in you're name. Respect and love, Patrick.....
The woman who went thru it twice 😮😮😮
Stay strong Oklahoma!!!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Moore downnnnn kkkkkkkkk😂😂😂😂😂
One picture that best sums up the devastation in Moore, Oklahoma on May 20, 2013 is a picture of firefighters pulling Jennifer Doan- a third grade teacher at Plaza Towers Elementary School- out from beneath the rubble of the school.
8 years later......
Co nie które narodowości pomyliły kontynenty ze względu na? . Złodzieje państ są tak samo zawzięci i złośliwi jak te tornada..
People should serve each other no matter what. Nice to see in Moore people doing that.
When trees are completely debarked. You know the wind speeds were insane.
Wind alone doesn't do that. What debarks trees is getting "sandblasted" by flying debris.
Everyone should have shelters, thanks to the people saved the pets. RIP to those lost their lives and love ones.
Everyone should have shelters, thanks to the people for getting the dogs out in time
If you want to check out my twitch it’s BasedWriter53,thanks and follow
This video was put together beautifully! Thanks for taking the time to make it! Moore strong!
God bless the people of Moore and the other thousands of people around the country who have had their lives turned upside down and those who have been killed by these most horrible of natural disasters.
I hate when people comment they should have could have. Those poor survivers I bet think of it everyday. They don't need some person from the west coast telling them that. I admire and love how wonderful those people are from moore. What a wonderful community. I admire them so much. People say " I would never live there. That's there home and history. You can't just your family around to stay out of harm's way.
